gelatin printing

Kim got the bug for block printing after visiting the Sarah Elisabeth Block Printing shop in Rockport Massachusetts.

She carved her 1st block (it was a pair of lips) and she was hooked.

Kim uses a slab of gelatin as base for her “press”. She uses her hand carved linoleum blocks or found objects mainly for subjects for her prints. Kim repurposes what ever she can.

If you look closely you can see bubble wrap & netting from fruit bags, incorporated in some of her prints.
